What Call and Text actually do
Call and Text buttons on a customer or booking open your own device's phone or messaging app with that customer's number already filled in. The message is sent from your own mobile number, over your own cellular plan - Servetic is not involved in sending it, and does not keep a record of what you wrote.
- Nothing is sent or synced by Servetic itself: no automatic texts, no delivery tracking, no message history pulled back in.
- To keep a record of a text conversation with a customer, log it as an internal note, or use CRM chat, which keeps a shared message history inside Servetic.
Why this article is short
Servetic's codebase includes unreleased backend pieces for a future Twilio-based SMS feature - connecting your own Twilio Account SID, Auth Token and phone number, and sending an automatic text when a booking is confirmed. None of that is reachable from the app today: there is no Twilio connect screen in Settings, and nothing in the live product triggers an automatic SMS send. Rather than document a setup flow that does not exist yet, this article says so plainly. When Twilio SMS ships as a real, connectable feature, this article will be replaced with real setup steps.
