Territory
A territory is a named area you serve. When an address on the booking form falls outside every territory you have set up, the form tells the customer plainly that you do not cover it, instead of offering a time you cannot keep.
Each territory card shows its coverage, whether it is active, and how many services and employees are attached to it.
Create or edit a territory
- Open Territory from the sidebar and add a territory, or choose Edit on an existing one.
- Enter a name and an optional description, and leave it Active so it can match bookings.
- Choose one coverage method: a list of zip codes, a radius in miles from a center zip code, or a zone drawn on the map.
- Choose the services and employees attached to that territory.
- Save.
| Coverage method | How it works |
|---|---|
| List of zip codes | Match on exact postal codes you add one at a time. |
| Radius | A distance in miles from a center point, found by geocoding a zip code you enter (use Locate to resolve it). |
| Drawn zone | A custom polygon drawn on the map, for boundaries that follow roads, rivers or towns rather than postal codes. |
Reading a territory's card
Each card shows whether the territory is Active, its coverage in one line (for example a radius and center, or a count of zip codes), and how many services and how many employees are currently attached to it.
