Pricing options and add-ons are things a customer actively picks. The Advanced: automatic pricing rules area under Add-ons & Rules covers the opposite - price changes that are worked out FOR the customer, from answers they already gave or from the job's own numbers.

Surcharges & fees
This is an ordered list of steps, applied in exactly the order you arrange them. Each step either multiplies the running total by a factor or adds a flat dollar amount, and each step can be gated by a condition so it only applies some of the time.
| Step setting | What it means |
|---|---|
| Label | Shown on the customer's price breakdown, e.g. "2-storey surcharge (25%)". |
| Operation: Multiply | Multiplies the running subtotal by a factor - 1.25 means +25%. |
| Operation: Add | Adds a flat dollar amount to the running subtotal. |
| Condition | Optional. Left empty, the step always applies. Set, it only applies when the condition matches. |
A condition can check an intake answer, the service's own measured quantity, the day of the week of the appointment, or the time of day of the appointment - so you can build a "2-storey surcharge", a flat obstacle fee, or a weekend surcharge, and stack several of them in the order you actually price a job by hand.
Send to quote automatically
For rules a single option or tier's own "requires a quote" flag cannot express, add a compound rule here: a set of conditions that, when they match, send the booking to a quote request instead of an instant price. You can add more than one rule - a job goes to quote if ANY of them match, and within a single rule every condition must match together. For example: area over 5,000 sq ft, OR (commercial property AND area over 3,000 sq ft), OR (wood deck AND area over 2,000 sq ft).
This works alongside, not instead of, the per-tier and per-option "requires a quote" flags described in Size bands and Pricing options and add-ons.
Territory & volume pricing
These rules are not something the customer picks either - they apply automatically based on where the customer is or how much they are ordering, and always apply last, after everything else.
| Rule type | How it applies |
|---|---|
| Volume discount | A percentage or fixed-amount adjustment once the service's own quantity crosses a minimum you set, with an optional maximum. Set as a discount, it lowers the price for larger jobs. |
| Territory adjustment | A percentage or fixed-amount adjustment tied to a specific service area (Territory). A percentage adjustment scales every service in the order; a fixed amount is charged once, on the order's first service. |
