Servetic has two separate ideas of "role", and only one of them changes what a person can actually access in the app.
The job role on an employee's profile
When you add or edit an employee, you pick one Role from a fixed list. It is a job-title dropdown, not free text, so it stays consistent across the roster, filters and badges.
| Role | Description shown in the picker |
|---|---|
| Field Technician | Performs jobs in the field — the default role for most staff. |
| Supervisor / Team Lead | Oversees a crew or territory, can be assigned jobs directly. |
| Office Staff / Dispatcher | Manages scheduling and customer communication, not typically field-assigned. |
| Admin | Full access to manage services, pricing, and settings. |
What actually controls access
Access is decided by account type, set automatically when the account is created, not by the job role you pick:
| Account type | What they can reach |
|---|---|
| Account Owner | The business owner who signed up. Full access to the whole CRM: Dashboard, Customers, Services, Jobs, Employees, Settings, billing and everything else. |
| Employee | Every person added from the Employees page. Signs in to their own jobs-only view at /employee — the jobs assigned to them, and nothing else in the CRM (no Customers list, no other team members' jobs, no Settings). |
An owner can still open the employee view themselves to see exactly what their team sees, since an owner's access covers everything an employee's does.
What an employee can see once inside their view
Within the phone view, an employee only sees jobs they are actually assigned to — as the primary technician or as an added helper on that visit. Jobs assigned to other team members never appear in their list.
