Recurring job series

How a recurring series starts from a booking, how future visits generate automatically, and what pausing or moving one visit does and does not do.

A recurring series is not something you build directly in Jobs. It is created automatically the first time a customer books a service with a recurring frequency selected.

How a series is created

  1. In the service editor, turn on recurring options for that service and choose which frequencies it offers (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and so on), with an optional discount for each.
  2. On the booking form, a customer booking that service is offered those frequencies and picks one, or books a one-off visit instead.
  3. Once that booking is confirmed, Servetic creates the recurring series and the follow-on visits and jobs on their due dates without anyone opening the app.

Managing a series

Service Intake › Recurring Services

Recurring Services lists every series: its customer, frequency, status, next visit date and how many visits it has generated so far. From here you can Pause, Resume or Cancel a series.

Series statusWhat it means
ActiveFuture visits keep generating automatically on schedule.
PausedNo new visits are generated until it is resumed.
CancelledNo further visits will be generated. This does not remove visits already created.

What moving or cancelling one visit does

To stop future visits from being generated at all, pause or cancel the series itself in Recurring Services, rather than cancelling visits one at a time as they come up.
