Notification templates
Notification templates control the wording of the automatic emails Servetic already sends at specific moments — a booking, an estimate, an invoice. You're personalising an existing email, not deciding whether or when it goes out; that part is fixed by the app.
The three tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Customer Emails | Templates for emails sent to your customers: booking, then estimate/invoice templates. |
| About My Business | Your own copy of emails sent to you or a new signup — welcome, new booking request, new quote request, estimate approved. |
| Reminders | Lets you draft rules for delay-based reminders. See the callout below before you rely on this. |
Customer-facing templates
| Template | Sent when |
|---|---|
| Booking Confirmed | A booking is confirmed. |
| Upcoming Appointment | Reserved for a reminder ahead of a booking — see the Reminders callout below. |
| Job Completed (review request) | A job is marked complete, if you've turned review requests on. Covered in its own article. |
| Estimate Sent | You send an estimate to a customer. |
| Invoice Sent | You send an invoice to a customer. |
Each template has its own enable/disable switch on the list — turning one off really stops that email from sending, it isn't just cosmetic.
Editing a template
Set a Name, Description, Category and Template Type, then write the Subject and Content. Content supports HTML. Click any variable chip below the Subject or Content box to insert it at your cursor — a table under the editor spells out exactly what each one contains, for example {{customer_name}}, {{business_name}}, {{total_amount}} or {{booking_link}}. A few variables are lists rather than plain text, marked in that table; those need the {{#each ...}}...{{/each}} loop syntax shown next to them, not a bare {{variable}}.
- Open Notification templates and stay on Customer Emails, or switch to About My Business for the owner-facing set.
- Choose Edit on an existing template, or Create Template for a new one.
- Pick a Category, then a Template Type — the variable list updates to match exactly that type.
- Write your Subject and Content, inserting variables by clicking their chips.
- Switch to the Preview tab to see it filled with sample data.
- Save Template.
