An invoice is its own record: a customer, a set of line items (description, quantity, unit price and the calculated amount), a due date and a status. It starts as Unpaid and is never generated on a schedule — Servetic doesn't send recurring or subscription invoices, only one-off documents you or a job creates.
From a job
Jobs › Open a job › Financials
A job's Financials section shows a Create Invoice button when the job has no invoice yet, and switches to View Invoice once one exists. Before offering Create Invoice, Servetic looks for an invoice already tied to that job's booking or estimate — so reopening the same job, or clicking twice, never leaves you with two invoices for the same work. If one is found, you're taken straight to it instead.
From an approved estimate or a customer
An invoice can also be built from an approved estimate, which carries its line items and total straight across, or started blank against a customer from the Invoices list. Either way you land in the same invoice editor: adjust line items, set the due date, and save.
- Open the job, approved estimate or customer, and choose Create Invoice, or start a blank one from the Invoices list.
- Add or adjust line items — each one is a description, a quantity and a unit price, which multiply into that line's amount.
- Set the due date.
- Save.
Editing an invoice
Reopening an invoice to change a line item, quantity or price replaces its item list with the new one when you save — the invoice record itself (its number, customer and status) stays the same.
