Adding an employee creates their account with a random password only Servetic knows, then sends them a link to choose their own. They never see a temporary password — the link is the only way in until they set one.
The first invite
Saving the Add Employee form sends an email invite automatically. If the email can't be sent (for example, if your email provider is having trouble), Servetic copies the setup link to your clipboard instead and tells you the invite email didn't go out — paste that link to the employee yourself.
What the employee does
- They open the emailed link, which signs them into a password-recovery session.
- On the Set Password page they choose a password meeting three rules: at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter and one number, and confirm it.
- Submitting takes them straight into their account — no separate sign-in step.
- Employee accounts land on their jobs-only phone view; an owner signing in the same way would land in the full CRM.
If the invite link expires or never arrives
Invite links are recovery links and expire after 24 hours. From the Employees list, open the ⋯ menu on that person's row and choose Resend invite to generate and send a fresh one — this works even for someone who has already signed in before, for example if they're locked out.
- Resend invite needs an email on file. Without one, add their email to the profile first.
- If email still won't reach them, use Set password from the same ⋯ menu to choose a password yourself and tell it to them in person. This is deliberately a separate dialog from editing their profile, since it's an account-security action.
- A password you set this way isn't emailed to anyone — you have to hand it over yourself, and they can change it later from their own account.
