Settings › Google Calendar
This integration is scoped to video consultations, not your whole schedule. It only does something for a service that has Requires a video meeting turned on, in that service's editor. For every other service, connecting Google Calendar has no effect at all.
Connect your account
- Open Settings from the sidebar and choose Google Calendar.
- Choose Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in with the Google account whose calendar you want events created on, and choose that account if more than one is signed in.
- Approve the calendar access Google asks for.
- You are returned to Settings, now showing Connected and the Google account's email address.
What actually happens
Connecting only grants Servetic permission to create, move and remove events - the calendar.events scope. Nothing is ever read back from your Google Calendar: Servetic does not import your existing events, does not check them for conflicts, and does not know about anything on your calendar that it did not create itself.
| When | What Servetic does on Google Calendar |
|---|---|
| A booking for a video-meeting service is confirmed | Creates one event with a Google Meet link, and writes that link onto the booking so confirmation emails and the booking view can show Join Google Meet. |
| That booking is rescheduled | Moves the same event to the new date and time. The Meet link is not touched, so it keeps working for the customer. |
| That booking is cancelled | Deletes the event from your calendar. If you had already deleted it yourself, this is treated as done, not as an error. |
| A non-consultation booking or job is created, moved or cancelled | Nothing. Only services with Requires a video meeting turned on are ever pushed to Google Calendar. |
The event's title is the service name and the customer's name, and its description carries the customer's name, email, address and any notes they left. Both the customer and your own account email are added as attendees, so the invite lands in the customer's inbox too.
Meeting defaults
Once connected, a Meeting Defaults card sets the event Duration and the Buffer between meetings used when a service does not have its own duration set.
Zoom instead of Meet
The same Settings page can also connect Zoom, by pasting the Client ID, Client Secret and Account ID from your own Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth app. When both Zoom and Google Calendar are connected, Zoom is used for the meeting link instead of Google Meet.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the Google Calendar card. Existing events already created on your calendar are not removed automatically; future consultations simply stop getting a Meet link until you reconnect.
