Customers
A customer record holds contact details, an internal notes field, tags, custom fields, and links to every job, estimate, invoice, booking and quote request tied to that person. Records are created automatically the first time someone books or requests a quote, or you can add one yourself.
The customer list
The table shows Customer, Phone, Service address, Revenue, and Status / tags for each row, with a count of your total customers next to the page title.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search | Matches name, email, phone, street address, city, state, ZIP or a tag name, all at once. |
| Status filter | All statuses, Active, Inactive, plus any other status value already present on your customers. |
| Sort | Newest first, Name A-Z, or Highest revenue. |
| Export | Downloads the currently filtered list as customers.csv, with Customer, Email, Phone, Address, Status and Revenue columns. |
| Add Customer | Opens the same form used for editing, in create mode. |
Adding or editing a customer
The customer form has Full Name (required) and Email side by side, then a phone number with country code, a standardized address (street, unit, city, state, ZIP, country), an internal Notes field, and a Send email notifications switch. Notes are for you only: gate codes, preferences, past issues; customers never see them.
Selecting customers and bulk actions
Check the box on any row, or the header checkbox to select every customer currently matching your filters. Once at least one is selected, a Bulk Actions menu appears next to the selection count.
| Bulk action | Status |
|---|---|
| Delete Selected | Works. Asks you to confirm, then permanently deletes every selected customer. |
| Assign Tags | Shown in the menu but marked "coming soon" — it does not do anything yet. Tag a customer one at a time from their own record instead. |
| Assign Territory | Also marked "coming soon" and not yet functional. |
A customer's detail page
Open any customer to see four summary cards — Total Invoiced, Estimates, Invoices, Bookings — and a row of action buttons: Text from phone (only shown when they have a usable phone number, opens your own device's messaging app), Chat / Invite customer, Edit, New Job, New Invoice and New Estimate. The three New buttons take you straight to that record's creation screen with this customer already attached.
Below that sit seven tabs: Overview, Chat & access, Jobs, Estimates, Invoices, Bookings and Quote Requests, each one showing a live count in its label. Every tab beyond Overview and Chat & access is a read-only list of that customer's records, each with a View action that opens the real job, estimate, invoice or booking.
Tags
On the Overview tab, Manage Tags opens a dialog where you can create a tag (a name and a colour) for your business, then assign or remove it from this customer. Tags you create are shared across all your customers and also show up in the customer list's search.
Custom fields
Manage Custom Fields lets you define extra fields for your business — Text, Number, Date or Select, each optionally marked Required, with your own options list for Select fields — then fill in a value per customer. Text, number and date values save when you click away from the field; Select values save the moment you pick one.
