The moment a booking or request comes in, Servetic saves the customer, the full line-item breakdown of what they picked (not just a total), and sends out the confirmation. Here's exactly what does and doesn't happen automatically.
The confirmation
- A confirmation email always goes out to the customer.
- A confirmation text also goes out, but only if you've connected your own Twilio account. Without Twilio connected, no SMS is sent — there's no other way to send text messages.
- You (the owner) get an alert with the customer's answers and a link straight into the booking.
Deposits and payment status
If the order required a deposit, it's only marked paid once your connected payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal or Square) confirms the charge — Servetic never marks something paid on faith while a charge is still processing.
Becoming a job, and Google Calendar
Once confirmed, the booking becomes a job on your schedule. If you've connected Google Calendar, a calendar event is written to it — but only in that one direction. Servetic pushes events out to the Google Calendar you connect; it does not read your Google Calendar back in, so an event you create outside Servetic (on your phone, say) will not block a slot on your booking page.
Recurring services
If the booked service repeats, the recurring series only starts once the booking is confirmed. The following visits then generate themselves without the customer booking each one individually.
